Master in Environmental Management (MEM) Program

The Master in Environmental Management (MEM) program is a 2 years residential or distance learning masters degree focused on three tracks:
  • Integrative Land Management
  • Sustainable and Resilient Communities
  • Global Sustainability

Through partnerships with the Peace Corps and Americorps, the MEM program offers students a tailored and personalized masters degree program.

As well, MEM offers a 3+2 component to partnering universities in the RSC community. This allows students to complete 3 years of undergraduate studies at their partner university and complete their Senior year and one additional year at Western and complete their undergraduate and MEM degree in 5 years!
” Using the ecological diversity, natural resource wealth and emerging sustainable community movements of the Colorado Rockies as its central classroom, Western’s MEM offers interdisciplinary training for building environmental and community resilience.“
