Sonoma State University's Contributions to the RSC

Recent wildfires in Northern California greatly affected Sonoma County, including faculty and students at Sonoma State University.  The fires displaced people from their homes, interrupted community members' livelihoods, and brought neighbors together to rebuild.  Sonoma State University is working to aid Sonoma in rebuilding, providing our consortium with an evolving and very personal view of resilience at the personal and community levels.  Out of this tragedy has come the #SonomaStrong campaign to inspire this rebuilding.  As Sonoma State University is a Hispanic Serving Institution, focused on issue of justice and cultural appreciation, the University has a special focus on equity and inclusion with regard to these efforts.             .
